Choetech’s budget wireless charger is now down to just $12

Choetech knew what it was doing with the T511; the budget wireless charger is reliable and charges consistently, and most of the time, I didn’t even think about it sitting on my desk. I’ve been using wireless chargers for years, and cheap ones usually disappoint with slow speeds or overheating issues.

The Choetech T511 wireless charger, which generally costs $15, is now available for just $12 on Amazon, a terrific price. This is one of the most reliable budget wireless chargers I’ve tested. If you need something that works without breaking the bank, it’s the one I’d suggest — it’s now my go-to recommendation for budget wireless charging.

Choetech T511 Wireless Charger: was $15, now $12 on Amazon

✅Recommended if: You want reliable wireless charging on a budget. The T511 charges consistently and doesn’t overheat like other cheap options.

❌Skip this deal if: You need fast 15W charging or premium materials. In that case, I’d suggest getting something like the Anker PowerWave instead.

I used this wireless charger for the better part of six months with my iPhone 14 Pro and Galaxy S22 Ultra, and it has been rock-solid. The 10W charging for Android and 7.5W for iPhone is exactly what you need for desk use or overnight charging.

Simple design that gets the job done

The T511 has a straightforward design. It’s a black circular pad, approximately 3.5 inches in diameter, with a rubber ring to keep your phone in place. Coming in at 107g, it’s light enough for travel but won’t slide around on your desk. The LED shows blue when charging and green when idle.

What I like most is how cool it stays during charging. I’ve tested budget wireless chargers that get uncomfortably hot, but this Choetech barely gets warm even after hours of use. The build quality is solid for the price.

The alignment isn’t picky either. Some wireless chargers need perfect positioning, but this one works as long as your phone is roughly centered on the pad. I tested it with cases up to 5mm thick and didn’t have issues.

Charging performance that works

I tested the T511 extensively over several months. My Galaxy S22 Ultra charged from 20% to 100% in about 2.5 hours. The iPhone 14 Pro took approximately 3.5 hours to charge fully. These speeds match what you’d expect from 10W and 7.5W wireless charging.

The consistency impressed me most. Many cheap chargers start fast but slow down when they heat up. This Choetech maintains the same charging speed throughout the entire session. That’s more important than peak speed in daily use.

I also tested it with AirPods Pro, and they charged to full in about 90 minutes. No problems there either.

How does it compare to expensive alternatives?

I have an Anker PowerWave Pad that costs $20. The Anker feels more premium, thanks to its superior materials and USB-C input. But the charging performance is identical. You’re paying extra for build quality, not speed.

I also compared it to a Belkin Boost Up that retails for $30. The Belkin looks nicer and has Apple certification, but again, charging speeds are the same. The Choetech does about 90% of what these expensive models do. Price AndroModel Price Android Power iPhone Power Input Port Weight

ModelPriceAndroid PoweriPhone PowerInput PortWeight
Choetech T511$1210W7.5WMicro-USB107g
Anker PowerWave$2010W7.5WUSB-C125g
Belkin Boost Up$3010W7.5WProprietary140g

Here’s what I found during my charging tests with different devices:

Charging Time Comparison (20% to 100%)

Galaxy S22 Ultra:

2.5 hrs

iPhone 14 Pro:

3.5 hrs

AirPods Pro:

1.5 hrs

*Times are consistent across all three chargers I tested

Unless you specifically need USB-C input or premium aesthetics, the Choetech gets you there for much less money.

A few minor downsides

The micro-USB input is my biggest complaint. Everything else now uses USB-C, so I have to keep a separate cable around. It’s functional, but it feels outdated.

The build quality is basic. It’s made of black plastic, which does the job, but won’t impress anyone. The LED is also quite bright for bedroom use — I covered mine with tape.

Charging speeds top out at 10W for Android devices and 7.5W for iPhone devices. If you need the fastest wireless charging available, look elsewhere. But for most people, these speeds are fine.

Who should buy this

If you’ve never tried wireless charging, this is a great way to test it without spending much. Even if you don’t love it, you’re only out $12.

It’s also excellent as a secondary charger. I keep this one at work and have a nicer one at home. Perfect for that setup.

Travelers will appreciate its compact design. Takes up minimal space and works with any USB power adapter.

Skip it if you need ultra-fast charging, have thick phone cases, or want something that looks expensive. In those cases, spend more on Anker or Belkin.

The bottom line

The Choetech T511 has proven to be surprisingly reliable. I expected it to be mediocre like most budget chargers, but six months later, it’s still my daily work charger. It just does what it’s supposed to do.

At $12, this is an excellent value. The performance matches chargers costing twice as much, and it’s been dependable enough that I’d buy another one. Sometimes, simplicity and reliability are exactly what you need.

The T511 is currently available on Amazon for $12. If you want reliable wireless charging without overthinking it, this is a solid choice. This is a deal you don’t want to miss.

Looking for other charging accessories? I’ve also tested USB-C cables and power banks that might be worth checking out.
